A faculty in the process of development

The Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts has fantastic programmes, exciting research, and is, by virtue of its artistic breadth and cross-faculty Research School, unique in the Nordic countries. Our economy is also good and we receive good support from the University of Gothenburg. In the short run, we have every reason to feel confidence as far as our organisation is concerned.

There is great potential within the Faculty and it is important that we examine and develop this potential. By doing so, we can create even better conditions to enable us to be competitive both nationally and internationally - and since we have the wind behind us it seems that now’s the time for these questions to be dealt with.

During the spring of 2010 our faculty will therefore launch a development project, the aim of which is to develop our organisation from the inside, i.e. by looking over the organisation and developing it and by also taking a look at working methods and the roles our staff play. Another of our wishes is to make our organisation more efficient by way of coordination.
