The Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg offers undergraduate (first cycle) second cycle (master’s) and third cycle (doctoral) education, and also conducts research and artistic development work within a broad spectrum of disciplines such as: film directing, photography, music, drama, design, crafts, fine arts and literary composition. It is this breadth and depth that makes the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts unique in Europe.
The Faculty is led by the Dean, Anna Lindal, together with a board that is called the Faculty Board. The Faculty’s schools are: the School of Film Directing, the School of Photography, the School of Design and Crafts, the School of Design and Crafts at Steneby, the Academy of Music and Drama, the Valand School of Fine Arts, the Department of Literary Composition, Poetry and Prose and The Göteborg Organ Art Center.
