International collaboration

Research and doctoral education at the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts has a broad international base. Our doctoral students are active participators in European and international conferences and exhibitions and are members of a number of different networks.

All of our Faculty’s schools have an international perspective and participate in global collaborations. Examples of this are the Academy of Music and Drama’s teacher exchanges (within the subject area: theatre) with England and Russia, the School of Design and Crafts’ examination projects in, among other countries, South Africa and Bangladesh, the Department of Literary Composition, Poetry and Prose’s participation in the European Network of Creative Work Programmes and the participation of students and teachers from the Valand School of Fine Arts in art biennials, such as the Istanbul Biennial in 2005.

For further information of on-going international collaborations, please contact each respective school/department.
